Coldwell Banker Dew Agents Participate in Affordable Housing Awareness Week Activities

During Affordable Housing Awareness Week, April 21 – 25, a crew of agents from Coldwell Banker Dew Realty spent three days building and installing a wheelchair ramp at a home for a family in need in Hanover County.

This project was carried out under the direction of Joe Doetzer of Elderhomes Corporation, a non-profit organization committed to improving the living conditions of low-income, elderly and persons with disabilities in the city of Richmond; Chesterfield, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico, New Kent, Powhatan and Charles City counties.

Agents participated in pre-building the ramp sections at a warehouse on Monday.  On Tuesday and Wednesday the old ramp was torn down and the new, building code compliant ramp was installed for the family’s use.

Participating agents included Jim Vass, Bob Flanagan, Susan Wingo, Joan Newton, Charlie Pleasants, Delores Dunn who brought along her husband Pat, Mary Snellings, Cathy Loving, Peggy Ladner, Ann Lauterbach, Ruth Savino, and Debra Cocke who brought along her husband Wayne. Wayne helped both days of installation to complete the job.  Bob Flanagan participated in all three days of work! We issue a special thanks to Pat and Wayne for lending their professional expertise.

Way to go, Dew Realty!
